ABOUT ME
I am Christina Goodison, a Licensed Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbologist and obtained my Master’s Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA.
I have been in practice since 2011 and my passions are working with Infertility, pain management, migraines, sports injuries and digestive disorders. I maintained a private practice for 8 years in San Diego before relocating my family to the Boise area.
PCOM is renowned for its comprehensive and rigorous program that includes a heavy emphasis on western medicine. This allows me to be able to easily understand a patient's needs as they usually are coming to me with a western diagnosis.
Acupuncture/Traditional Chinese Medicine is growing more popular each day, and it’s exciting to be on the forefront of these changes in healthcare. Many of my patients come to acupuncture after having "tried everything”, and the conditions tend to be chronic and/or difficult to treat with Western medicine. I get so much gratification from seeing my patients have dramatic results after living with their conditions for so long. I am passionate about partnering with my patients to live with decreased stress and pain and increased joy and purpose.
Prior to maintaining a private practice, I worked in an integrative setting with MDs, DOs, chiropractors and nutritionists but have found that I prefer working for myself so that I have more time to interact with my patients one on one.
I have also worked part time as an adjunct professor at Ashford University in the Deparment of Complementary and Alternative Health.
